With this being our first featured product segment, it is appropriate that we start off with the product that got us started way back in 1998, the Hounö range of combi steamers.  When we were initially offered this product line, our reaction was one of, oh another brand of combi steamer for an already well traded sector of the market.  However when we investigated a little further into this relatively obscure brand we discovered a number of things.

1. People – Houno had the most amazing people, they listened and were prepared to work with a new and small organization such as us.
2. Quality – The product was not mass produced and therefore attention was paid to every little detail.  As a tribute three of the first four Hounö ovens installed in South Africa during 1996 are still in operation today.  Once or twice a year we service these units, and replace the odd part, but other than that they are still fully functional.
3. Flexibility – Hounö offers without a doubt the widest range of ovens on the market today, from the 8 different sizes (soon to become 9), to the unique double door pass through system they offer a solution for most outlets.
4. Style – Being Scandinavian, the look plays a big part of the design, and it is our opinion that the Hounö oven is streaks ahead in this department.
5. Reliability – Since installing the first range of the Visual Cooking line some four years ago, we have not replaced a single heating element.  Great for the customer, terrible for our stock of elements.
